"Now God has set the members,
each one of them, in the body just as he
pleased..." (1 Corinthians 12:18)
Discerning and then functioning within your unique place in the Body of
Christ is essential for your spiritual health and the growth of the
entire Body.
Please take some time to learn more about spiritual fellowship with
Christ and one another as you browse this page.
Christian fellowship is
not only commanded by God, but it is also
essential for personal growth in godliness and for the edification of
the Body of Christ.
Therefore we encourage all members to be actively engaged in this
ministry in the following ways:
Making the commitment to join the local church
Befriending one another and spending time together
Praying with and for one another on a regular basis
Attending our weekly luncheon and monthly fellowship meal
Participating in church functions and member sponsored
events
Avoiding foolish and ignorant disputes which generate strife
Refraining from gossip and slander
Because we believe fellowship to
be essential for the growth of a
healthy and holy church, we provide weekly opportunities for such:
Weekly Luncheon: Bring a light
lunch and spend the time between services getting to know one another
better.
Monthly Feast: On the first
Lord's Day of each month, bring a dish to share and spend the afternoon
together.
We also encourage our members to schedule opportunities for fellowship.
Examples:
Friday Night Hymn Sing
Summer Sporting Events
Hiking at State Parks
Community Service Projects
Harvest Festivals
Christmas Parties
Choosing and joining a local
church is an important (if not essential)
element of faithful Christian living.
Sadly enough however, many Christians seem content to live out
their lives unattached, uncommitted, and therefore unable to
participate fully in the life and ministries of the church. This
grieves the Spirit.
