Pastor Christian McShaffrey was raised in a
conservative Roman Catholic home in the Midwest, fell away from that
faith as a teenager, spent several years in spiritual darkness, and
was born again by the sovereign grace of God at the age of 21.
With a strong desire to help others
find new life in Christ, Christian devoted himself to personal study
and service in the local church.
When
Christian’s inward called was confirmed through the outward call of
the Orthodox Presbyterian
Church, he was taken under care by the Presbytery of the Midwest and
began graduate studies at Mid
America Reformed Seminary. Christian
graduated in May of 2003 and was ordained as an Evangelist
to Reedsburg in April of 2004.
In October of 2007, Grace Reformed Church
was organized as a new and separate congregation of
the Orthodox Presbyterian Church and three Ruling Elders were ordained to
join Christian in his ministerial labors.
Christian
resides in Reedsburg with his wife Kelly and his children Zechariah
(5), Isabella (3), and Micaiah (2).
